Stop-Motion Animation
Many people do different types of filmmaking. We are specializing in stop motion animation here, but in the film festival you can enter music videos. Music videos will also be accepted on the view page. It is all right to make live video, and not stop motion, but it is easier, and much more fun, to do stop motion, because you don't have to do the acting and all that. Please only submit stop motion, and music videos, to the view page. If you want to make live video, you may post it to me, and I will put it up on my website. Please, no foul language in any of the movies. Thank you.
What is Stop-Motion Animation?
Stop-Motion Animation is taking any object and "animating" it by taking several pictures of it moving, and turning it into a movie. Before I started doing filmmaking, I took some PlayMobil toys, took a whole bunch of pictures, opened windows movie maker and made a movie. My first movie. Several years later, I found NR-Productions Stop Motion Animation set. By now I had dabbled with stop motion a lot. I had found stop motion pro, a stop motion editor that you can never figure out how to use, and tested it. I had no idea what I was doing, so I couldn't make a movie. Up to then, besides the special "program testing" I had only done pictures and stuck them in windows movie maker and made movies. Once I got that editor, everything went BANG! It came with a complete guide to easily make movies. With this editor, I quickly started making some pretty good films. Thus came about the start of this studio, Brickster Island Studios. That's how I got started. Now I've been doing it for 4 years, and I still like it. It is very enjoyable. If you are interested in making films, I advise you to check out NR-Productions . If you have questions, please go to this site. If you mix around, you can also find some other good editors. For another path, one that leads through pixilation* go to the Klutz website. * = stop motion animation with people as the cast, not legos or objects.

How to Start Animating:
To learn how to animate, check the sma tutorial page. It tells you where to get the equipment to make your movies. I am currently working on a movie tutorial to help beginning animators. If you don't want to buy all the stuff in the package that I recommended, you can use VirtualDubMod as shown on the tips and tricks page.
